    ArtRage Studio Pro and processors

Since I updated to Artrage 3.0.6, artrage uses 12% of the processor even if it is simply open without I using it.
    I got a macbookpro 2,4 GHz with 4Gb RAM

I don't know if it can help you, I can send you a sampling process. I tried to put it in this message but it's too long.

Thank you for your great work,

The processor level being indicated is probably due to how the application processes its event loop. When it's idling it probably isn't using that much processor, it's not actually doing anything other than watching for events when they happen (such as rollover to highlight buttons). While that doesn't actually take much processor time, the monitoring system may be telling you it's busy due to the nature of the backbone.

That's trying to avoid too technical an answer Basically, it probably isn't using as much as it appears to be!

I tried to close Artrage et reopen it don't use it, It still using 12% of processors. If I work with it, the fans start to work after few minutes.

On my iMac 2,8 Ghz, it's using 7% of processors when idling.

Here is a pdf of the sampling process in the macbookpro.

I talk about that if it may help to solve a problem, if all is OK, I just believe you ;-)
