    "Worshiping" at the altar of art. Love the halo suggestion.

    This is quite charming. In a museum, I would also get right up on a wildly painted canvas and look at the impasto of the paint, just to see if I could get inside the head of the artist a little more. I have been laughed at for that, hahaha.

    Yes. viewing distance makes a difference.
