Mrs. Grindtooth waits for the Wild 13

I will take this as sample for trying to get a more painting like style. To this point I'm not really happy with my coloring and texture skills ...
At first I start with Pencil draw.

    Ciritcal words are welcome

The begin of the coloring ... unfortunately I import a to small version of the pencil drawing. So my current painting is to small for the final version. It will be a good test to check the resizing for details.
Next steps will be the cliff and the basic dragon.

Today I don't like my color scheme from the first coloring start ... so I do it again im more warm colors.
If I still like the colors tomorrow then I will try the breakers around the rock.

    Thank you Docsmith.
Here are the breakers ... maybe there are some light problems and/or blend problems. At next comes the rock and the dragon.

it's looking good so far to me! Right now the dragon's upper half is kind of disappearing into the darkness of the sky but you've got more to show us so bring it on! Other than the dragon for the moment, I think it's awesome!

Nice going! Maybe the foreground red cloud is too much detached from the background.

Thanks Umberto, I was also not really happy with the clouds. I have repaint the sky (thank you for layers ) and have make some adjustments in the shadows of the rock an breakers. Next step the dragon ... I have no idea how to get a great dragon skin texture.
