    River

I can't claim this one. My 7 year old son painted this on ArtRage 2.5 with a mouse. He simply called it "River". I was blown away and thought I would share it. I love the texture he was able to create and it looks to me like a monochromatic satellite photo with a bright blue river. He drew this completely and did not use any photo.

Be careful! Hes going to be showing you up (and all of us) in no time. Very nicely done!
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

I think he has already showed me up. I can't figure out exactly how he did it.

The clear sense of a three dimensional topography here is astonishing. This looks like something done with Worldbuilder or a similar high-end topography simulator.

Wow....what a neat effect he created in this painting! Isn't just amazing how someone so young can show you up so easily? The two of you need to get with Sketch (Sketchism71) and his son, Sketch, Jr!

Thank you all for you comments. I have read these comments to my son and he's really excited. I have talked to him more about this painting and I'm not certain he intended this picture to come out this way, but was maybe more of a "happy accident". Either way it really draws my eye and he had fun doing it.

He is busy working on his next painting. This new painting has more "seven year old" in it and he is still having fun.

All my kids are enjoying this wonderful product and I have personally witnessed them walking away from the television to paint. I can't complain at all.

    Rob
