    Fighter pilot

    F-16 pilot.

I feel as if, I'm a long way off, getting this painting right, but to have ago, is far better, than not having ago.

Manfred von Richthofen(1892-1918) was maybe the greatest fighter pilot, of all time, with eighty(80) oficially credited kills.

I see it as an abstract. I like the colors, very nice work!

You set the mood well in this painting, Paul. I like the darkness of the clouds and the texture you added with the paint. I can see how this is an emotional piece for you.

Paul, I like this-great title too.
On your subject of The Red Baron-made me think of a birdhouse that my father made me. It was so large that I didn't keep it in the house, but enjoyed it for years in the yard. It was beautiful. I painted it red and put a little Manfred on the sides as if he was flying the plane, and the propeller moved all the time with the wind. The little birds would fly in and out. It was really cool.
