The art work is just phenomenal but so very bizarre. I am not sure what to think of most of them (besides his incredible ability towards realism!) since they are coming from an area of his brain that I'm not too sure it's very safe for most to go!

Kenmo- Forgive me for being so dismissive in your AR3 complaint post. If you keep up this kind of posting, you can complain all you want as far as I am concerned.

BTW- If you have specific questions about how to accomplish something in AR just ask, there are a bunch of great people around here who will jump in and help out.

Thanks for posting this amazing artist.

I think it's more like I don't have the skillset to master AR. Where as Painter is more in tune with an art novice/dummy like me...

I'm also a little overwhelmed as I just upgraded to Vue Pro Studio 8, 3DCoast 3.0 (a ZBrush like app http://www.3dcoat.com/, and Curvy3D http://www.curvy3d.com/) and trying to find time to learn Google Sketchup and Hexagon 3D...

A 56 year old man only has so much gray brain left...

kenmo, Art Rage is not yet and perhaps will never be , I don't know,
    a software for 3d,
I can see it may go in this direction but I don't know the details,
perhaps is that what is disappointing you as I can see you are interested in 3d.

I saw the work of Josh Keyes, very interesting !

Looks like his recipe is "combine random animals and random animal behaviors" to me.

I do like the horse being eaten by butterflies, though.

I also suspect he copies the animals off photographs, his lighting is very suggestive of that. Look closer - see how on different animals in the same painting you see the light falling from different angles, not one consistent angle?
