    cartoon speech bubbles exist?

    Greenhornnewbie with 3.0.5 studio pro,
How do I get speech bubbles? Do they exist or do I have to make my own?

    Welcome to the forums!

ArtRage has speech bubble stencils you can use:

-Click the 'Stencils' pod on the left hand side to open the Stencils Panel
-Select the 'Comic' category on the left and you'll see speech bubble stencils you can use to give you various speech bubble shapes.

For more information on stencils, see page 89 of the ArtRage Studio Pro manual 'Stencils' accessible via Help -> ArtRage Help.

I hope that's of some help.

photograph as stencils - 40,000 foot overview, pls

    thanks. found the pages.

How can you use a photograph as a stencil? Can you give examples? It says, "Loading a photograph as a stencil lets you lay down paint on top of it and see the image beneath when it is removed."

Cosmonaut had created a PNG image of speech bubbles and asked to have it converted into a sticker sheet (since Cosmonaut didn't have PRO and couldn't do it personally). I converted it and posted it up for download there. Here's the link to the thread: http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums...ad.php?t=25551

As for stencils, any image can be imported and used, but pure black and white images work best when it comes to masking. Pure white will mask any color put over it, while pure black will let the color go through (like a hole, but the stencil can always be inverted afterward).
Nothing is easy to the unwilling.
