    ZigZag Records

I ran across this storefront, and couldn't remember if it was in LA or SF, but it was always a good place to buy papers and vinyl. Probably isn't there anymore. O well.

What an enjoyable painting, Skylar....it brings back fond memories for me buying my vinyl albums back in the mid 70's! We have a wonderful vintage vinyl shop, in a area of St. Louis called the Delmar Loop, and it is a wonderful place to go and reminisce.

    Why

The reason I did this was nostalgic - in more than one way. Way back when I got my first good paying job, it was with a sign co. I laid out proposed signs. I would take photos of a business, and paint an elevation of the site, showing the new sign in place. Doing this storefront reminded me of that, and I even did the style that I would've done back then. See how nice the ArtRage sign looks in the window?!

Terrific LSP, I especially like the trip down memory lane - several of these types in my younger days in SF. You captured it well.
