    Just a Pattern

    Got bored today as nothing I painted turned out right so relaxed just doing a pettern.

    This is great Coops. When I first looked my thoughts were 'tartan gone wild' but looking longer parts almost seem like rectangles of coloured glass stacked on each other. The more I look the more I find.

    Coops, this is anything but JUST a pattern. You have an awesome talent. . .when you let it off the leash. It's blatantly obvious in your previous painting "Down in the Woods", but this is more subtle. I've looked at it a dozen times, trying to understand why I like it so much. The composition is incredible. There is both symmetric and asymmetric balance. The colors are captivating. I could go on, but it's simpler to say that I would be proud to have it on my wall. to the tenth power!

    katie, i really like your recent creations and playing with tools. sorry you felt bored but then you created something very interesting which is a joy for us to see it. i like this pattern.
