    Lion In The Sun

Finally finished this! Thank you for all the comments in the WIP on this one. I'm sure the journey isn't over yet. I tend to notice things after a few days that drive me crazy and end up fixing this and that. For now though, here it is! Thanks for checking it out!

Eddie, it's outright astounding; beautiful; a masterpiece in every detail and in the whole. The cat is beautifully rendered, the fur is perfection, the expression complex, the background providing perfect integration with your subject. I'm particularly taken by the lions expression that is complimented through his entire body. He seems contemplative, perhaps longing, maybe even a bit sad - a revealing take that our animal friends indeed have complex emotional worlds that usually escape our attention. I love the painting and feel it's the most accomplished that you've posted to date. It just seems right in every pixel. Do they allow you to give someone a million stars?????

Wow, Sketchism! This is truly a wonder in every way. Incredible lighting here!

An absolute stunner! It's a puma I guess.
I just wonderf which shortcuts You may have used, for the grass/ straw and the fur, for instance, if any.
It' almost unbelievable what You succeeded to get!
