    Question Prayer in church

Hello everybody This is a two layer AR2 painting of a young African American girl, in church saying a prayer. The big box-like thing on her head, is a culture knitted hat. It took me all night last night to finish this.
I'm trying to pay attention and learn how to create paintings in detailed format. I posted this image to my gallery on www.fineartamerica.com , and got a comment on the same day. That doesn't happen everyday. Well, at least in my gallery Usually, I get comments two to three months later. What do you think of it?

I like the sense of perspective with this one, and also the knitting detail. The texture seems to stand out from the rest of the painting which gives the person a beyond 2D air
If I were marooned on a desert island, please air drop me a copy of Artrage 5.0! (Plus a laptop and solar panel)

Evart...I saw this posted yesterday and meant to comment then but somehow got sidetracked but I am here now!

This is just delightful! Your style is genuine and uncomplicated. The knitted hat is exceptional and the hours you've worked on it has paid off. This is a very special piece and you should be proud of your accomplishment!!!

Very nice work on this Evart. Besides the detail pattern on the knitted hat, I also like your background and the peaceful feel it conveys.

You knitted her hat all over the night, dear Evart? I'm kidding!
Nice work, especially interesting the texture You actually got on that hat!
Many decades ago we used to hand-make many lambswool items that way in my native region full of hills and mountains, including a kind of sleeping socks for going to bed (snowy and cold villages and limited wood for heating at altitude in winter in the old times ...).
    Panta rei (everything flows)!

Evart, this is nice work... the hat is beautifuly painted and the simplicity of the whole picture speaks volumes, through it's colors and the girl's face, so lovely and concentrated i like this a lot. Happy little painting.:-)
