    Something New For Me

I got a harmonica for Christmas...

Still waiting for my hand to get fixed so I can pick up the bass and guitar again, needing to make a noise....

So was looking on the net to see what the harp was all about and found this guy.... So cool it hurts!

I'm just off to bury it at a crossroads....

    Brilliant video!!!! Thanks for sharing.

You want some more great great harmonica? Go to:

And scroll down to "Room to Move" and give a listen. One of my all-time favorites from one of my all-time favorites.

Enjoy--and good luck with the harp!

Any old Brits will recognise this as the theme from a great music program, where all the real musicians appeared. The Old Grey Whistle Test!

Here's a chestnut: a youngish Jerry Portnoy with Muddy Waters in 1978......I was raised on this stuff and now know how truly fortunate I am.....a blond, blue-eyed child of hippies on a goat farm in so. Indiana with Muddy Waters, Mayall, and John Lee Hooker blasting from the tape deck in the living room.....hah!....my parents still have what I consider excellent taste in music....

Best of luck to you with your harmonica, Neil. Sure looks like funl

Great addition Hannz. They say Jean-Baptiste Frédéric Isidor Baron Thielemans (Toots) is the best jazz harp player of all time. What a great video.
My Dad was a big fan of him. I think Stevie held his own here though. Another all time great.

I played a little harmonica when I was younger. I was never any good, but I still love the sound of it and enjoyed the selections that everyone posted. Here is Buddy Greene playing a medley of classical pieces on his harmonica. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks, I loved this one, Buddy Greene Classical Medley.
And from there, the one of him singing "I Don't Belong."
