    Talking Portrait into Fairy

I was trying to turn a portrait of my niece into a fairy print. I just finished her, but I need to work on the background. This has actually been a fun painting. I've been using the new watercolor feature. I usually use the oil for the portraits, but the watercolor is very useful for that. Just a little more difficult, but I think I'll get the hang of it.

Kudos for the great new features, guys!

    Lightbulb A helpful tutorial

This is a great start. If you have an interest in portraits, I'd like to direct you to the talented Marta Dahlig. She is a regular contributor to Imagine FX magazine (a wonderful resource featuring fantasy & Sci-Fi digital art.)

See her current article called, "Painting Perfect Skin." There are also free resource files for her tutorial that you can open in Photoshop (and maybe ArtRage? I haven't tried.)

Best of luck. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Since this is my first post, the ArtRage Forum won't let me post the URL for the article. Just go to ImagineFX daht com and click on Workshops. You'll find it (and other great, free tutorials) there.

This is such an excellent work. I have obviously not caught your other works here. I have been missing something for sure. I am going to be looking for more of your posts.

    Just finished

I just finished and posted in the main gallery, but I'll post here as well.

Look for it there to find out how I made it.

    Thanks to everyone who commented.
