This seemed like a good thread to place my first post... what can I paint in an hour... well, I'm finished with this one... but I don't know know what it is... :?: so I guess I'll never really know what I can paint in an hour... :P

    ---------------
An edit to my post... my son suggests to me, that this is a flying meatball.

Heh. That's got some really interesting effects in there. Quite striking.
Whether it's a Beholder, or a Flying Meatball, it seems very happy with itself.

    Welcome to the forums, Celithralia.

That is a cool image. It has snap and personality, not to mention it's a visual grabber. Welcome to the forum.

About 40 mins. Framed in Photoshop. Artwork done in artrage. It's the second image I've done in artrage so far. Not sure if I like it though.

I haven't painted since high school (a long time ago) so I have no clue if I'm doing it right or not.

Welcome to the forums, Celithralia and evaperrin. Celithralia, your painting reminds me of an "evil" version of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy cover. It's full of personality, that's for sure! =] And Eva, looks good to me! It looks like you're working with a combination of media there. I like the colours you've chosen.

    Thanks for posting!

Hi everyone and welcome evaperrin & Celithralia

Here's another I was able to make in an hour. It's a title page for one of my school assignments. Artrage really brightness dull school work.

Wow. It's surprising the level of detail you managed to get into the people in that time.
    I like the car too.

Andy's right, the people are lovely. I love that car, though! It looks like what would happen if a horse 'n' carriage were a convertible: remove horse, add horsepower. =]
