    Christmas Dinner For Horses

    I'm at it again with AR2.5... I'm not skilled enough, so I'm tracing the photo. I always have a nice picture in my head, but getting it into the program is another matter.

    You're doing great. There is nothing wrong with Tracing. Professional (traditional) Artists use light boxes to trace photos, etc. all the time because it ups their productivity.

    It's what you do with the paint part that counts :-)

    True enough... one of the first things I learned in commercial art school was how to use a "Lucy" (tracing projector). Even if you have the skill to draw -- it is usually faster to trace, and time is money.
