    Fun Character for Storyboard

Here's an unfinished character I started yesterday for an animation storyboard I am working on.
Done in Artrage 3 - a great tool for storyboarding !

Terrific. I hope you'll keep posting progressions. This is a quite fun character for sure.

This is great! I love character concepts. It's great to watch them evolve. Great job!

    Texturing

    Thanks for the encouragement.

Since the storyboard, I have now created the character in 3D and am using AR3 to do the UV texturing.
First time I've used AR for this. I'm enjoying the process.

The texturing has got a long way to go, but here's the very beginning WIP.

    More progress on UV textures.

Also included screenshot of texture work in AR.

Wow- your end result is seriously impressive. What kind of program do you use to do the 3D rendering I wonder?

Thanks. I do all my 3D work in Lightwave 9.6. It's render engine is hard to beat.

I'm finding that AR gives me a much more naturalistic texturing process, although there are a few more steps in round-tripping between AR and LW to get direct feedback. Maybe sometime in the future LW and AR can produce a plugin to make this process more seemless

That is soooo dang cool. I know people who know how to do this, but I've never learned. I doubt you'd be able to get me away from a computer if I ever did though. Looks like a lot of fun. This is a pretty sweet project. I love you model, really has great character.
