    Yet another Blending exersize!

    Hi,
I've always been interested in oils. In face I came to AR because of the oils. And hit a blockade with not managing to blend oils (like in the classical paintings)
If you've read my threads about the Frankenstein stylus & bit of renaissance blending you know how I came about to figure out how to blend in AR. I suppose for a lot of you it's already something known but for me it was like discovering ElDorado!
So right now again am practicing the blending with oil brush it self & trying to emulate the classical oil application, although I AM a loooong way away from anywhere close to the real technique, but at least I'm happy to be blending the oils
So here's an image, referred from an stock image on DA.
I am also uploading a cropped 1:1 size bit to show the blending.
    Any comments/suggestions are most welcome
    ta,
    fly

Oh, Flyashy.....this is coming along just beautifully! Your blending is to be commended!!! I love the "renaissance" look! I love the texture of your canvas...you'll have to clue me in what you use (or how you set your canvas settings) to get such a "real" look of painting on canvas.

I just can't wait to see the finale!!!

The blending so smooth Fly, and the texture looks so nice, waiting to see it finished.
