    Buying a WACOM

    Hey everyone, need some advice from tablet users.

    Well money is short for Christmas, I have enough to either fix up my guitar and be able to play again. Or buy a WACOM and start painting again. I've decided on the tablet.

    I was wondering if there was a decent one under $80-90 that y'all could recommend to me based on your own likes/dislikes of it?

    It is a small work space but i never had any issues with my older small Wacom. I like my older tablet a lot and have nothing really bad to say about it other then wiping it off constantly due to my dusty house and 40 year old carpet.

    Later perhaps when i find work again i may pick up the Bamboo Touch and also a touch screen LCD monitor as well.

    I have to admit, that Bamboo Touch (http://www.wacom.com/bamboo/bamboo_pen_touch.php) looks very sexy! I would get one of those if I were you.

    It looks like a really nice tablet. But like many reviews already said. The lack of shortcut buttons makes it really like the previous bamboo tablets and that is, that you still work with your keyboard a lot to get stuff done.

    I would rather save up a little bit more money and go for an Intuos4 S edition instead. You won't get the wheel with the S edition, but yous till get a lot more shortcut buttons with it.

    I had a Intuos 4 Small, it just didn't have the lit up controls and online controls for configuration. It did have a wheel though.

    Thanks Rose, I have one as well.

    I struggled with the idea whether to buy a medium or a small, and it just didn't seem worth the extra $200 or so just for those perks. If it had been 12" x 19", I wouldn't have hesitated!

    Cheers

    Thank you all for the input and suggestions. I drove by Wal-Mart today and saw their WACOM Bamboo, which may be what I'll get. After my Wal-Mart discount it'll cost me $42.99 which will leave me just enough to fix my guitar.

    Win=Win

    Thanks everyone!

    Do the new Intuos 4 tablets have the touch capability of the Bamboo touch?
