    Thumbs up perfect skin

    These are the skin tones used by Martha Dahlig.
    I modified the pictures for use as reference images (for sampled the colors)

    Notice how the artist uses virtually the whole color wheel. It's not just a matter of "whiter" or "darker" shades of the same color here; the hue changes all over the image, and each image you've sample has its own palette.

    The lesson here should be that color is contextual; shading with a single hue can't work, to get a convincing picture you must be aware of the hue.
