    the movie's lights

I noticed that the scifi/fantasy movies are useful for the study of shadows and lights.

well.. this is my 1st experiment with a movie
    Title: The Punisher
    My Title: Into the Future

I captured an image from the film "THE PUNISHER 2", very good for light and depth

Here the colors that I chose

    Here my WIP:

I recommend these films for inspiration:
Cat Woman, Daredevil, Xmen, The Punisher, Batman, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings.

    cu!

Fantastic! What a great idea. The lighting in movies is staged and exaggerated with artificial lighting. What a great way to learn how light falls on a form.
You should teach art. This was really a good idea. I learned to be more observant. The paintings you show here also show your mastery as an artist.
They are truly stunning and beautiful. Thank you Misterpaint.

You're certainly right about the use of lighting in movies. With a good eye you can see the color temperatures and quality of light. You can also check these things with photographs you take yourself, or when doing a live study.

Mr. Paint has a great point with sf movies and lighting. My favorite when it comes to lighting is Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. That movie had some truly awesome lighting.
