    Boys Day Out 2

    Saw some great houses and never have seen so many swans.

    The fourth one with the indistinct speck in the river is an otter! Never seen one in the wild before.

    I'm planning to go back to that spot with my SLR an a decent lens and see what happens...

    More great pics! These remind me of the poem by W.B. Yeats, "The Wild Swans at Coole" (okay so Coole Park is in Ireland ). The setting is identical and your comment about so many swans brought this to mind. It´s a great poem, well worth a look. Here´s the first verse:

    The trees are in their autumn beauty,
    The woodland paths are dry,
    Under the October twilight the water
    Mirrors a still sky;
    Upon the brimming water among the stones
    Are nine-and-fifty swans.
    The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.
