    A colouring project...

Okay, just posted this over at DA
and SeVereo (not sure who you are on the forum ) suggested colouring it would make a good challenge for here... (not realising that my sketches are a dreadful mess )

So I actually cleaned it up, and created this for anyone who want's to try colouring

The actual file's a transparent gif, to make it easier.
(I'm hosting on DeviantART, because I'm having trouble uploading anything - but it's easy to download - just click the link on the upper left that says 'download' and save the larger, transparent version )

    Thumbs up

    Picture!
I do like the robe and the colours go well, and that is a scary bird
And I think it's just the eyes - I had trouble drawing them, too. But you are free to change what you want

Looking forward to it being finished

Oh, and as I've started this thread, I might as well add another

Um, does anyone have tips for drawing non-wonky lines?

Also, to colour linearts etc, layer modes multiply or tint (or a bunch of others, actually) work well.

Oh lovely The eyes are great! (and actually, I'm sorry for how badly they're drawn. I had a lot of trouble with them )

And just checking, but were you able to download the transparent version ok?

If you're having trouble steadying your hand while you're making a line, you could try out the helper program Yvan_c posted in this thread. It's pretty neat. You just download the program (it's a small download, so it's fast) and follow the instructions in the "Read Me" text file. You use the program with ArtRage (or other drawing programs) to help steady your lines as you draw them. I used it to re-ink your drawing below. Everything was done in ArtRage with help from LazyNezumi for the inking.

THANK you, yes, that looks very handy! I'll try it as soon as I get home.

And colour me impressed, that's a fantastic colouring job. And linearting job. The lace looks brilliant. And the rest
