    Yay! Thanks, Mum!

The new BookPeople catalog came today, and my mum was looking through it, and she's buying my sisters some books.
She came through to my room and showed me the catalog, and told me I could have some books, so I looked through it and found the following books I wanted:
-A set of five fantasy fictional stories.
-Five history books. (Fun ones, not boring old ones!)
    -An arts and crafts book.
-A set of ten art books. (Telling you how to use water-soluble pencils, and watercolour paints, and sketching techniques. My mum recently bought me sketching pencils, watercolour paints and water-soluble pencils!)
-An anatomy book. (I've always struggled with drawing people, and this'll help me greatly!)

So, I told her those were the books I wanted and guess what? She said I could get them!
They don't cost a lot, so she said it was fine. I can't wait for them to arrive!
You'll probably see lots of threads filled with artwork using techniques I'll learn, so you've been warned!

    I'm very excited!

Weeun, I am SOO happy for you! When I was your age (and yes, even now) I was so very hooked on books, would read one book a day in the summertime when school was out. I love your enthusiasm and don't ever lose your love for books, any kind!!! But especially art! Your mum is so wonderful for doing that all for you and I'm sure you will learn a lot! You are very special and I'm sure your mum knows that and cares very much for you. I would much rather have books for presents than anything else. And NOT the download kind either! Can't wait to see your new paintings... we are warned and loving it!

Books are gateways to so much that you will appreciate about yourself later in life. When I was your age I read voraciously never knowing that it would not only give me a pretty good vocabulary but would increase my ability to think and understand.

I've read a few of the books, and now I'm looking at the sketching one.
