    Help needed softening edges

I've made a painting that's almost there in terms of effect and composition but I'd like to soften the edges of the main subject slightly so that it doesn't look superimposed. Does anyone have a tip they can share? I thought about the eraser tool, but on which setting? Any other way?
    Hope someone can help.

This is something I struggle with too; I've had some success with the eraser tool, setting it to 100% softness. See the "Less primitive blending tools?" thread in the Suggestions area for some other ideas.

Thanks Chris. In the end I did go with the eraser tool and it worked enough for my purposes. Maybe a dedicated soften tool should go on the list of wants!

It's excellent, thank you, Juz. I recommend every beginner - or even those with more experience - to view Juz's tut.
