Artrage with animation features...
Hello I´m pretty new at artrage. Sorry!
But I just need to get this out there. I have been thru a hell of a lot of freewares and a few bought software programs to help me out with my work. I´m original on disks and paper and then scanner or camera, to grab my drawings into the pc, to make a line test of my animation. Then I thought I might keep up with the evolution and go digital from start to finish.
Non of the programs I have tryied so far comes close to Artrages pencil tool. I usually set the pressure on 20-30, softness on 0-tilt angel on 0- and "precize" on off. And I can do drawings almost as well as on paper. The only thing I´m missing is the animation features. LIke: Onion skin, for inbetweening, time chart to change the timing for the drawings and then the ability to import a sound level to sync the animation to.
Please artrage team, put in there!!!!
I know artrage was not ment to be an animation package but anyway, I´m sure it will only give you a new audiance!!!
I love your program!!
Here are some links to softwares that do what you want:-
you will probably get more joy using a product designed especially for 2d animation than from a painting program that has limited animation features strapped on.
Hope this helps
Thanx for the links.
I already have Digicel flipbook and Allready have PAP. But they don´t have the line quality that artrage has. They feel like drawing with a spraycan where as artrage is more close to the "real" thing.
I still say !!!!animrage!!!
But thanx anyway!!
You can, (with a lot of tweaking) get the painter pencils to have a realistic quality and that program has some limited animation functionality. However, like any package that tries to be 'all things to all people' it has become 'bloatware' (slow and buggy). It may help you for now.
A 32bit app is just not going to be an expert in painting, animation, vectors and photographic manipulation. Just putting Illustrator and Photoshop together would result in a massive program with less response. Its simply asking the machine for more power than it has. The maximum amount of ram a 32bit app can ever use is around 3.8gig.
