    Artemisio Beach WIP

I ran across a photo of this beach with its (to me) wild, harsh, untamed beauty and decided I wanted to do more than a quick sketch of it (although that was my original intention...sigh). Since it will take me several sessions to do it justice, I'm putting it in here. C&C always welcome as I still see myself as a newbie learning from the rest of you.

    Hi JB,

That's a great start... you've certainly got a great source to start from.

The only (minor) suggestion I'd have is to level out the sea... it's leaning slightly sideways. Photographers can get away with this due to the 'accuracy', but we're held to a higher standard :-)

Thank you, Yachris. And I see what you mean about the sea level (I suppose I could blame it on "global warming" but will accept responsibility myself and fool around with it when I get to the water...still playing on the beach itself for now).

Thats amazing work JB, the photo itself is lovely but I have a feeling that the painting is going to be great. Will keep calling back to take a look.

JB, very beautiful.. I love to see the progression, I will be watching this. Love those little pebbles on the beach, and the rocks are lifelike! Wow!

Thanks for popping in to "check out the beach" SCP, kaibarr, weembaman (no Puddy in sight here so far, but who knows...), coops and Irishrose. Your words of encouragement are much appreciated.
I managed to add a bit more today...hope you enjoy.

Wow, JB, like a beautiful puzzle coming together. Always exciting to see another few pieces in place. Wonderful!
