    Rise at Dusk

Hi, here is my latest painting. Hope you like it. It's 100% Artrage, no references used. I added a smaller version and a somewhat bigger one ( the upper one). Hope you all are fine.

Question: The textures look really good, like on the foliage. Was this done all in AR.. if so, how are you achieving these textures, is it simply bits of black scattered within the color? Thats my best guess, lol.

    Great painting!

    Belvrog,
With only a sword and sheer power of will .... he stands steadfast before the mighty foe.
Only fate, wit's and the whimsey of the God's will make the determination on who will prevail.

Wow!!! What an amazingly powerful scene ... the dragon slayer verses the dark nemesis
of all things evil. Riveting and foreboding! The artistic integration of the dragon blending
ominously with it's unsettling surroundings creatively captures the gripping intensity of
the two mismatched forces at odds. So well very painted!

    thanks weemba.

Thanks Krondelo. Yes it's completely done in Artrage and done by hand. I think you are talking of the foreground? Didn't use stencils here to get it done, it's painted on a seperate layer, some areas corrected with the eraser and blended with the knife. I use most of the tools Artrage has, for this painting and used alot layers. The resolution of the original painting is quite high, that can give you the space you need for finer details. On a few of the greens in the background I used a grain as a stencil on the greens in the background and the dragonskin here and there to apply a speckled effect and some finer detail, but not much. You can also get a similar result without stencils by the use of chalk and different paper grains for the paper settings. Hope that helps.

Hi sketchism, , thanks mate. I was still unsure if it's done. Your generous approval really lifted my contentedness with it. Thank you and take care
