Very first project - "Just Married"

    Hi there.

I'm from Spain, so I must apologize for my poor English. Anyway, yesterday I bought a Wacom Bamboo Fun (medium size) tablet, after being two weeks playing around with 'Brushes', a great app for iPhone. I loved that app so much that I decided to buy a real tablet. I've never painted nor drawn before, so any suggestion will be really appreciated.

OK, what I'm trying here is painting a cute scene: a bride and a groom riding a Citroen 2CV, from the church where they'd married to the restaurant where the party was about to be celebrated. Besides, it's a true story. Actually, the bride is my sister... I'm giving her the paint as a birthday present

Well, here go the draft and a first attempt to colorize it.

I'll send more pics as long as the project continues.

    Hope you enjoy it!

'Well begun, half done' - Have you heard of the saying? You've started nicely and the concept is good. Go ahead and post as you proceed. Wish you good luck and birthday greetings to your sister!

Thank you very much, wenkat and weembaman, for your kind comments.

I know I still have a lot to learn but I'm trying at my best.

    See you

    Still working in my paint.

I've redrawn completely the car, the bride and the groom, but used here the colorized first version as a guide. Started to paint the trees and leafs.

The picture seems too much flat. I guess I'll solve that in the future, but I'm not sure about how to do it: maybe desaturating the trees and leafs in the background or turning them a little blue. We'll see...
