Pretty darn interesting for sure!!! I also checked out those eight digital art paintings of Hockney's and wasn't really all that impressed with his work as I am with many others from this forum...including yourself! Seriously...your landscape paintings I think far exceed his!!!

    Hi Een,

Your landscape is beautiful too. Is that based on the area you live in?

Like a lot of "modern artists" he can actually do brilliant conventional stuff.
He did those using the stylus on an Apple I-Phone.

I met him just once before he was famous. The setting was a little bizarre. My then girlfriend and I were at an event called The Ideal Home Exhibition in London, furnishings, houses that sort of thing. He must have been at art college nearby. It was around 1958, we were all then in our middle/late teens. I wandered off from the refreshment area and when I got back this odd looking guy in round glasses was chatting to my girl! With hindsight I know there was no challenge there.
We talked for a long while, because he had just been given his first paid commission for a painting and was just desperate to tell somebody about it. We were the first people he met.

One of those freaky events that you remember in life.
