    Tutorial of roses (only images)

    Hi

    Some people asked me to create a tutorial about "how to draw/paint roses", but due to my bad english i only made printscreens of a picture with roses i made step by step

    Sabina, could not open until I downloaded a WinZip file, but saw the screen shots and have questions.

    Do you start with oils and then use the painting knife? And do you do the whole painting on one layer? I am not understanding how you get from one screen to another though I do see the brush highlighted at times and at others the knife.

    I really love your style. If you do this on one layer, even better!

    Hi Irisrose

    1fst - I start with a normal pallete (oil) and i painted all with a black color



    2 ª - In a middle i paint with a (oil) with another color red or white



    3 ª- After i use the the pallet Knife and i begin give a form of the rose


    4 ª - After i paint with green for the feuille use also (oil)



    5ª - Use the same thecnique with a pallet knife other flowers around the roses



    6ª And Finaly i used the oil paint for give a few touches to the painting



    7ª The end result

    Sabena... thank you for going to all the trouble of posting and explaining each step. At least I have the latest version of WinZip on my computer now .

    I really do appreciate all the hard work you did for this tutorial.. and of course, am blown away by your ability to just use a few strokes to make a masterpiece. Thank you, thank you for doing this for me! xoxox And of course, for others. You're a great sister!

    Thanks very much for the tutorial, here is my attempt. Actually probably one of the best paintings I've done, so thanks again.

    Maybe I should have been a bit more creative and not done such a similar composition.
