    Rocky River

    Thought I'd use chalk for a change. I like it. I find it easier to work with than the brush.

    But, there are some distant trees to do on those thar hills. Is chalk the best for creating those, or the brush?

    I've attached the reference photo. The trees look sort of sparse. Just not sure if I can get the detail needed with chalk.

    very nice! i've recently found the chalk tool, as well. lots of fun! sometimes it looks good smudged with the pallete knife...like you ran your finger through some pastels. fuuunn stuff!
