    Choosing colors from tracing image

    Hi,

When I trace an image, and "Choose colors from tracing image" selected, the tool will pick up colors from the image only when I click.

Is there a way to continuously sample the color from the underlying image while I am moving the mouse/pen as opposed to sampling only when I click?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

Tracing image colour is selected from the point at which you first click when making a stroke, there's not currently an option to vary the colour during the stroke with the colour of the tracing image.

... but if you use the Glitter tool, it will continuously resample the colors of the tracing image.

That's a good point The glitter tool specifically does indeed work in that way as it lays down a bunch of individual particles, each particle picking up the colour of the tracing image.

Dear ArtRage, is it possible to turn of the highlights on one layer and back on in another layer?, for instance, maybe for a brocade fabric, the background a flat color, the raised design a metalic and different color,,,, Thank You!
