    The hall

Starting something new. Posting a step by step progress again. These show my initial ruler and page setup, and my first lines. The hardest part is really getting started. Comments / suggestions always welcome.

I've been busy at work, but still had some time to make progress on my painting. I saved some of the steps, so i'm posting to bring this up to date.

    Jim,

Thanks for letting us see all the steps -- it's very interesting!

The only thing I see that might need a slight improvement is the arches... they kind of look like the viewpoint on them is higher than the viewpoint on the building (like you're looking down at them, but across at the building). It's partly the undersides, partly the bottoms. The angle on the bottoms looks like they're on a hill sloping up towards the far horizon.

It's facinating to watch it grow like this. Looks great. One area that maybe needs a line redrawn is the far left building. The perspective looks a little off, the line forming its base at the bottom of the building seems to be angled too high compared with the rest, unless of course that is how it actually looks!

Can't wait to see the rest of the colour on this.

Jim, it´s good to see you posting again! Interesting to watch the progress. It will be even more interesting to see the finished version! Looking great so far!
