    My own Website... first open Test (till tomorrow)

    Hello Community,

    i'm a bit spamming abit here in the general chat forum
    Over the last few weeks i worked on my own website... and i think it's time for some feedback of this early version (the content should grow over the time, and there are several bugs and bad things, and well my pic isn't the best)....

    so please give me a feedback what you think about layout/design/readability and what else is good or bad... it would also be great to recieve some mails over the contact formular (test if it works properly!).

    www.mariosiegrist.com

    it's online till tomorrow evening...

    Technical background:
    I've builded this site with the Joomla CMS, so i can admin my site very easy over the backbone and can add modules for different things as i like. It's all free (thanks for that, these people are heros).

    I've someone would see his site in the link section, please write me

    Future:
    I will try to add english as an option...i hope it works. Also my worldtrip section would be on this site!

    Goal:
    The site should be simple, and just to show my work and to inform people what i do, so i haven't to take my book with me... say: an E-Portfolio

    The slide show works fine and your work is excelent.
    The problem will be for the people who don't speak German,
    you have only the titles in English,
    It will be better if you have 2pages , for each language a version,
    as the text is not very long, it would be easy to do it, I think.

    This Joomla, I heard the name a lot, but what is it, is it difficult to learn?

    Very nicely done! You´ve done a fine job with this.

    Standing ovation!!!

    Wow! Has it been so long? That's a lot of work, I must say.

    You are a prolific fellow as can be seen by the slideshow, which is totally awesome! It really shows continuity. I think the viewing time is about right for running through so many pics as well.

    I think the part that really shows up as emblematic of your work is your lighting, compositions and color. You have maintained a certain viewing distance and style throughout the whole group. And your color mixing is really great. Very consistent.

    I like your vision. You clearly love what you're doing.

    And now you have a year long trip around the world scheduled. I hope you are going to have a server to which you can upload your photos along the way.

    I will be fascinated to see how the experience affects your artistic vision.

    Brilliant work. Thanks for sharing it this way since we didn't get to see your book. This works really well indeed. Bravo!

    See if you can set up interviews on your trip.

    First thanks for everybody for shorttesting my website... it looks like i'm on the right way so far. The site is again closed for the moment.

    @Dany51

    Thanks for the feedback, i have looked around and found maybe an easy solution for changeing the language. I will try to implement that tomorrow (i've to do a backup first)...

    @RobertSwade

    Thank...hehe well maybe i should sign my post now with mario

    @Hanzz
    Check out http://www.joomla.org/ to download and iform you about joomla.
    I've you wanna test it on your pc (you need a server) you can do that with http://www.apachefriends.org/de/xampp.html. So you can play on your own pc.... well i think it's simple. but i've you wanna some special look and feel you have to study a little bit css. But there are so many forums in the net...you found a solution for almost every problem

    @gzairborne

    Thanks for looking by and sending me a mail, so i can "check" that feature as working.

    @misterpaint
    I see you trust also in joomla thx!

    @ScottF

    Thanks alot!

    @D Akey

    yeah i really love it... thanks for your detailed feedback and wishes.

    Of course i will add a worldtrip section to this site... maybe i create another subdomain for it...don't know yet. So it will have seperate galleries/blog/route infos....and i hope this trip will influent me in almost ervery part of my live. But i don't think that is going away from drawing...

    So now i'm going out...
