Lord knows I have no expertise in that area, but here are a couple of excellent tutorials on portraits that address the eyes.

Thanks for the link barnburner, I have another one here that might be helpful as well. I'll see about getting a tutorial out for just the eyes, if Misterpaint will fill me in on how to do the video tutorials.

A joint tutorial between you and Misterpaint, would be perfection. Your step by step detail mixed with his video would be about all anybody could ever asked for.

    Dali,

Mr. Paint uses Camtasia studio to make those videos.
Here is where you can read about it.

And here is where you can get it cheap if you know a student in your household.

    Hi Dali,

Beside the tool that gz mentioned, for on screen recording, there are also some good free alternatives available.

You could try http://camstudio.org/. Gave it a short try some time ago and functioned very well.

It's lacking some features like implementing messages but these could be implemented by a video editing tool lateron.

Another somehow different alternative would be wink

    http://www.debugmode.com/wink/

It's also free and has some nice features, but produces more interactive tutorials than videos.
