ok, i think i set that post up wrong.
the one on the left is still part of the wip
the one on the right has the two different highlights in the hair (blue on left side of her head and red on right side of her head)

I like the blue, the red doesn't show up very good on my monitor...? The Painting is excellent though..

ok, i redid the red highlights on the right side of her hair. then i worked on her neck and shoulders. i'm not sure if they're quite right though. there is just this one area of her neck that is the same color and i'm not sure what to do with it.
i'm stumped. i think i'll work on something else for a couple of days.
thank you weembaman, hanzz and dr zeller for your interest and input.

I have been silently following this and the progression is impressive. Overall, I love the present version with two exceptions: I don't understand the Vulcan ears or the tracheotomy-like depression on the neck. Conciously, I'm not paying that much attention to the hair because the face is so beautiful and there is so much (painful) expression in the eyes.

Wonderful stuff. It's a treat seeing it being made and where and how you make your decisions. Like watching an intense chess game.

    Groovy.

    Red face

well, robert, the funky ears was an attempt to do some fantasy style art. i'm thinking it should be aborted for the time being.

i redid the neck and added some clothes.

thank you for the helpful comments robert.

d akey...it doesn't feel like a chess game here. it feels like i'm giving birth through my head with no epidural or pain meds in sight.

dali...thank you for the comments, i can't wait to see it either, if i can finish it.
