    Question...
    This is how the picture looks good on my monitor. I am on a mac. Maybe my monitor needs calibrating. Just a question.

    gzairborne, Your image is darker .. loses details. But it is good.

    I agree with GZ ... the background should remain subdued so as not to compete with the subject. Absolutely fascinating development Stephano.

    Hi Misterpaint, this is an awesome portrait - I love how you painted it.
    Thanks for showing us the stages too, I agree that the background is a perfect context for the face. And the way you did the eye's, beard and skin textures is most skillful... you are such an inspiration to me!
    And P.S: you just seem to get better and better all the time - impressive!

    I really like this portrait. Very expressive in his eyes. Your skill is amazing. Is this all done in felt pen only? Looking forward to your final. Take your time.
