    Palm Trees

    Hi All,
This is my 1st AR landscape attempt. It will take a while to get use to this digital as opposed to traditional oil painting but I think I am hooked. This painting is 18" x 24" @ 150 dpi so it is sluggish to work with. My next one will be smaller.

I am trying to use a looser approach. I am continuously amazed at the talent on these forums. I am hoping I can emulate some of the styles I see, yet still have my own style. Please critique. Thank you.

    This is definitely very nice!

At 1800 x 2400, you say itīs sluggish? What system are you running. I generally do smaller paintings, but one of my latest was about this size and I didnīt notice any sluggishness (and was at 300dpi).

Anyway, it doesnīt matter. Youīre off to a rousingly good start! Letīs see some more soon!
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

    Hi Scott,
I opened my painting to check and it is 2700 x 3600 pixels. My system is a dual 1.8 G5. It isn't a speed burner by todays standards but I can't afford a Mac Pro so I will make do.

Thanks for the confidence boost. I will be uploading something this weekend but I have no idea what it will be.
