The Triple Christmas Project
I started this other thread in the Gallery, but it really should have been here, so allow me to start anew. Here's the deal:
Decent folk buys Christmas cards from charities, but those are often not so great looking. The cards, I mean. So, some buy nice cards in regular shops and feel slightly guilty about not giving to a good cause at the same time. Some others have no such qualms, but everyone can be helped.
Let's make our own Christmas cards this year. When done, estimate the amount of money you'd have paid for the cards when buying them, multiply with a factor of your choice and according to your means, and make a donation to a charity of your choice. Any amount will do.
I pledge £50 for Medecins Sans Frontieres in aid of the folk in the Congo, an area I feel attached to after reading Barbara Kingsolver's brilliant Poisonwood Bible. So, there you have it:
1. A charitable giving for those in need,
2. A Christmas present suggestion for the undecided, and
3. An ArtRage piece of art
Here's mine. The Christmas Sau 2008. What's yours?
It's not about how many breaths you take; it's about the moments that take your breath away.
