Well, whatever you want. (You actually managed to make it work, yes?)

You can use it as a glitter tool, you can use it to lay down thick paint and then blend it.... that works very well, as you can get all the colours in place first.

Different sizes and colours, you can make
    stars...

    bubbles

Was that what you wanted? Or did you want other help?

Experiment with glitter. Use the metallic setting, blend it. If you work with it, you can actually get a chrome-like effect. The glitter tool can be used to add texture. As with each tool available in Art Rage, you need to experiment to see what can be done.

I've used glitter as foliage for trees or making bushes, or as texture.
But as said above, the best way to discover the full use is trial and error,
just play around with each tool, which is great fun, and you'll learn whilst having fun at the same time. All the paint fun, without the mess.

is there some way to predetermine which colors are used? Say, I want 4 specific colors, is there some way to do that?

No way to do that Charles. You'd have to apply the colors separately with Multicolor set to zero.
