    very P/O upset

I bought a wacom tablet with the artrage 2 and it is asking for a reg key now before any of you tell me to look at the sleeve, I have a hundred times. there is no s/n # or anything there is no reg. I contacted wacom the said I didn't need one. and to go to their web site and download it there, yeah f**in right can only download drivers on their site. so what can I do? And one more time for everyone I have looked at my sleeves with a fine tooth comb...

Sorry to hear you're having a problem there. Wacom don't share their user details and sales information with us, so we don't have access to your key. If the CD has ArtRage 2 on it ( not ArtRage 1 ), and there is no serial number printed by Wacom on the back of the sleeve which is the case by the sound of it, then it sounds as if there is a packaging error of some sort.

I would recommend contacting Wacom again, letting them know you have ArtRage 2 specifically, the type of tablet and where you purchased it, as well as the lack of serial number on the sleeve. They should be able to check that and sort that out for you as they provide support for the keys included with their tablets.

If it is ArtRage 1, check this thread for more details - http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums...ead.php?t=9123

Once you have the key, you can use it at our website here http://www.ambientdesign.com/artrageinstaller.html to download the latest version.

I have done everything you have said, and it is Artrage 2.5 I will be calling wacom again tomorrow to sort it out but if it comes down to packing my wacom up and driving an hour back to were I got it from I just won't bother. Was hoping I could get a bit more help here on getting a reg key. I have never even used Artrage don't even know if it is worth the hassle, no offence.

You can always download the trial/free version and check it out. I would highly recommend the program.

Can't help with the serial number, but as for knowing whether ArtRage is worth the hassle, I'd recommend downloading the free Starter edition to get an idea of how some of the main tools work and how they have a natural way of blending together. I would also suggest checking out the user Gallery here to see just what the program can really do when there's a talented hand behind the work.

You can view the main Gallery here:

And here are just some of the exceptional (at least IMO) user galleries (in no particular order):

As Dave has said, we have no way of knowing any of your tablet or key details and as a policy we cannot give out keys to people in these cases because we have no way to know if they are valid users.

If you have received incorrect information from Wacom support you should inform them and I am sure they would be happy to correct the problem.

That said, please forward me the email from Wacom in case there is anything I can do to help with that. Send it to matt@ambientdesign.com and I'll take a look at it.
