Great tutorial! Thanks for the tips on the water! Looking at your canvas size, I should work in a much larger format than I do. I usually start off very small, around 11"x14", maybe that's why I tend to be too detail oriented.

Thank you RobertSWade... this work as usual...not thoughtful
Thank you RegnR8...for information, I always use large size; 42.67" x 32.00".I think 11"x14".. small size. We can get high quality image when use large image and easy to do with fine work.
Thank you pai for appreciation.

i love your paintings
Hi gioulin. I think, this is good experiment you have done. Everybody have own style for their painting, and you also have your own style. What you done here looks great, just you need to do with fine work for trees, tree trunk, branches, grasses etc. You must know, it's same shape and colors (or more dark) that opposite fall down in the water (for reflection). But it's different; water looks shine, but all object on the land looks rough. Thank you. I'm glad, you are interested in this tutorial.![]()

An arrow has to go back before it can forward.
People have to make mistakes before they can succeed.
Wow...this is good tried, Rich73. Well done for water. I think it's looks more beautiful if you made detail work for the boats and bamboo at foreground painting. Thanks for share your work.![]()

This is one more sample to painting water. I used three layers, start sketch on layer 3, and second layer for foreground colors and first layer for background.
