How To Paint Water ? (Updated)

Paint Water

Simple way how to paint water…based on my experiences.

• I used three layers as usual in my painting.

• Begin with third layer (layer 3) for draw or sketch what we want to paint.
• Look the perspective and an area for paint water.
• Sketch equal shape against down to water area.
  • Look the pictures below, ( Artrage window and normal picture).

** Why must start from third layer for sketch or drawing?

Just as a guideline for us while painting.

2. Go to first layer (layer 1) and color all part of the background painting.

• Use oil brush and color in vertical stroke shape for water area.
• The colors that we applied for the sky, cloud, trees, grasses etc.must be equal in the water for looks its reflection.

Complete all background colors...sky, cloud, land, trees, grasses, water etc.
Bright colors for expose light area and dark colors for shade area.

Step 4: Blend Colors with knife.

Using flat knife, wipe and blend down (vertical) all part of water area .

Paint all part of water area.
Using soft palette knife, and blend horizontal line, cross an area we have colored.

Step 6etail work for background.

Step 7 : Detail work for foreground painting

Go to second layer (layer number 2) for foreground painting. Use thick colors with detail work.

Step 8: Final Work
Mute or hide layer three ( sketch work) after complete all painting.
