    Color Samples Panel

I noticed recently in a screengrab by Dany51 (?) that the Color Samples Panel was stretched horizontially ... something I can't seem to do but think I use to be able to do. Am I missing something or is this something that the latest version won't do?

    Question

Along the same line as this, I watched a video at youtube today where the persons Layers panel was attached to the left side of the screen (while mine is stuck to the right). Perhaps we're over looking an option someplace? lol...

The colour samples panel can display I think 3 samples horizontally (just checked - it's 4) and can stretch vertically only. If you set samples to display names you just get one per row. Do you have a screenshot so I can take a look?

As for the layer panel: Nope, no feature hidden away, the panel is firmly stuck on the right in 2.5, though in earlier versions it was a floating pane so that might cause it. Was there any text? Maybe the shot was mirrored?

Yeah, it looks as though it is a floating panel I saw. I didn't notice the panel was in a different location until around half way through the persons video. He must've moved it off to the side so it looked like it was docked on the left edge. This is video I saw it in:

I could see where being able to stretch the color samples panel horizontally might be handy. I've gotten used to where the other panels are located, though it might be nice to be able to float them around. No big deal for me though.

Thanks Matt. Yup, it's a question of whether or not names are used.
