I really love the way you painted that bird on the right. Has a marvelous sheen to the wings. Overall, there's something fascinating about the unfinished quality, like the birds would not hold still for you to paint them. Gorgeous color.
Avatar's very youthful and trendy as well.

I like the burlap canvas too. This should be a marvel when you get done!
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.
Rick , D Akey, ScottT, thank you for your comments,
indeed I find that tis particular canvas is one of the bests, is good even smoother or visible like in here.
D Akey, (all in one answer):
for the seal, I didn't understand in first that you are joking, I taught that you ask me how I paint it, the answer is that I sad "almost",
which is the same think for the avatar, I worked on an image b&w and used ArtRage to have some colors on it, good exercise for layers and opacity , etc.
For "birds", I will be careful to finish it , yes, some time paintings look better when they are not at 100% finished;
to have good reference photo is not sufficient,
in fact I prefer to paint on one layer, no photos and no artifices and still I try all this kind of skills, which no doubt are very useful.
Here are one reference of bird.
Nicely done, I like it
WOW. I think You made another trip on the Beagle to remember the great Darwin and his studies to formulate his evolution theory. A wonderful aviary start and some magnificent birds!
Panta rei (everything flows)!
how about my aviary start ?
I really enjoy doing something about "birds" subject, I discovered those days how splendid they are and so big diversity (at least for the moment is still the case ). I am very close to nature even if I am a citadine.
Thanks for your comment.
