    The Dog and Gun...

    Here is an Old Inn picture,started to put some detail in, but its going all wrong, had tooo much contrast,reduced contrast in PhotoFiltre and reduced the colour too, overdid things and kind of wrecked it,but I think it may still be save-able,anyway its a work in progress as you can see so now all I have to do is progress it.....Jack.

    You should be able to finish with a very fine piece. The subject and scene are promising. So get to progressing.
    The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

    The figures on the right look like you had models. Very natural poses. I quite like them

    But it all works really well. Very informative -- like walking into a tavern for real and seeing everyone and everything. . . something a good pirate needs to do, if he wants to avoid being tickled by a dagger, a dirk and a squzameroo.

    Update

    Here is how its coming along,it probably will change bit by bit as it goes along,but I am in no hurry because I seem to loose it after a time off from painting, and I have to get myself back into it again, thank you for your replies, I hope to get all this work finished soon,then I will be able to spend a bit more time on here,meanwhile I have done a little more to this one......catch up with you all soon,I hope.....Jack.

    It´s starting to perk up a bit. It should be another great piece when you´re done with it.
    The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.
