    What's wrecked (what vintage ship)? Is this a period piece or a contemporary shot?

    And thank you D Akey. Itīs based on a contemporary photo that I took on my first visit to this area (like 5 years ago). An old rusted ship in the channel (Canal Beagle)--I have no idea of its name. Itīs just a great example of the beauty and danger that we have in Tierra del Fuego, which is part of its attraction for me. Beauty and danger, all part of the picturesque and the sublime of the English Romantics with whom I lived for many years while in grad school.
    The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.
