    Hi silvercat,
Ohhhh and yum! This unwrapped chocolate bar is scrump-de-licious!!!
The detail is wonderful and in particular the embossing on the top of
the bar itself, the moon, figure and stars! Wow! Did that surface from
your own imagination? Such a unique, personal touch, just love it.
Thank you for spending the time to submit this creative addition and
we hope you will consider posting even more delectable paintings.
    Well done!

Thanks for your welcome, Mairzie Dotes..
I must admit, that the surface of that chocolate was not from my imagination... I had the tempting sight of that chocolate in front of me.. (though it didn't look quite the same afterwards )
The cute little boy in the moon, with the oriental touch is the symbol of a chocolate brand that is well known here in Germany, but supposingly not in the US, it is called "Sarotti". One of my favourites , and it was because of his appearance, that I thouhgt there is some "attitude" about this chocolate, so I painted it. (Besides, of cause, my own attitude to chocolate, that you can see (hopefully, though not very well painted) in the shadow of my hand coming back from the right side... )

    Hi again, silvercat,
As it turns out you and I both love chocolate and you made me laugh
when you said that you hinted of devouring the tasty treat directly after
you painted it. If that had been me you would have only seen half a bar
    as the finished painting. LOL!

I really appreciated reading your story, the origin of the Sarotti chocolate
bar, a favorite in Germany and it's adorable trademark image of the little
boy, so interesting and no, have not seen Sarotti chocolate sold here as
    yet.

Here's wishing you a lovely day and please do not be a stranger. Would
love to see more of your "FOOD WITH an ATTITUDE" paintings. It is so
    nice to meet you!

LOL.. I know..by now, I think more than a half of that chocolate bar has vanished
I'll love to post some more food-paintings, it's an interesting challenge..
Only I don't know if I will be able to do so before next week, as on wednesday, I will be going on a short holiday to Berlin, to visit my aunt and uncle. I suppose I won't have access to the internet at their house, so I will just paint some things and post them next week.
Anyway, this thread is one of the nicest in the forum, and food is good stuff to practise, without the problem of having to search for reference..(as I said in a different posting, I love to paint the sea, but unfortunately, it's far away from where I live..)

Have a nice sunday, all of you!

Do we have to accept what life hands us? Or can we say no thank you and ask for a different flavor?

    juliediane,
Foul, foul! These pickled pickles look like they have lost sight of the goal
post due to a way too long mood altering soak in fermented brine juices.
Their dilated eye balls are a dead give away. LOL! What a fun painting,
julie and thanks for submitting it. This team may not win this game but will
definitely end up on the Letterman show next week as the next hit comic
    act. What fun. LMOTF!

    P.S.
Julie, Are these team mates garlic dills or sissy gherkins?
