Do we have to accept what life hands us? Or can we say no thank you and ask for a different flavor?

Julie, this is GREAT! I love the apple at the bottom too, and the sign... I think inflation would have you make that a dollar for your thoughts! I WISH it were still a penny.. nice tribute to SPRING!

    Wow! Ray,

That Rooster painting is just gorgeous. I love the colours!

Mairzie, I love to eat watermelon, but after seeing your watermelon's attitude, I'm not so sure anymore.

Wonderfully alive looking pear, YaserAhmad , and beautifully painted.

    Interesting abstract, Juliediane.

Okay, I think I've got these answers in the wrong order, Don't have time to change it. Hope you won't mind.

    Hey Crackle,
Have been waiting to see what new "Food With 'Tude"
painting you had in mind for us. You are crazy wonderful !
Love it ! Those earrings on Miss Apple are hilarious !

    SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT . . . . . .

irishrose is back, everyone, WHOOHOO ! The rumor that
was circulating about rose traveling to Ohio with a large,
sharp pair of utility sissors to disable someones fire hose is
    unfounded.

Hey Mairzie Pan, (addressing the cook). . .

I tried steaming veggies in my pressure cooker. Overshot the mark by a lot. Mush is the word. Still tasted fine. Just touch it and it falls apart -- not how I loke my veggies. I'm a little more on an al dente guy. (Fine for soups but not so good for side dishes.)

What's the trick? By the time it began to hiss, it was pretty overcooked (my bad). How do you time it so you get the good use of a pressure cooker vs. just steaming?
