Try Alt+Print key combination. Then you can open
Gimp e.g. and paste the screen shot in.

Dear Dany51, there must be different ways to save a screen image, someone here helped me to do it this way,, on my keyboard there is a 'print screen-sys' key in the upper right, i click on that key, then i open up my old MS paint program then click on 'paste', the screen picture will be there, then you can edit and save it,,, hope this helps

Yeah, it all depends on the type of computer you have really. As already explained, often times it's as simple as hitting the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard and pasting the copied image ("Ctrl"+"V") into another program (you can even paste it directly into ArtRage). If you're on a laptop, it's likely you'll need to hold down another key before pressing the "Prt sc" button, because they normally do not have enough room on the keyboard to make a stand alone button for it. Then you have Mac computers, as gzairborne mentioned, that use their own key combinations.

If you´re going to be doing a lot of screen grabs, you might want to check out Techsmith´s "SnagIt." It´s not free, but it is truly fast and flexible.

This isn´t meant to be an advertisement. It´s just a program I´ve used for years. (It came in handy especially when I was still teaching and needed to post instructions, etc. on the web.)

I have been using Corel Capture, but after trying the method Lee mentioned, that looks real good.. However, like everyone seems to be saying, that there is a whole bunch of ways to skin this cat.. I guess you use what ever you get comfortable with..
